Judge to rule on probable cause in case against two former FBI officials
- FBI agent Ryan Witt testified that a congressional staffer cited as present for both officials’ testimony had attended only Bradley Benavides’ testimony, and prosecutors acknowledged the mistake in a recorded call.
- Witt said investigators still had not found anyone who attended Nikki Floris’ testimony; he also described FBI Director Kash Patel and other senior officials monitoring the probe.
- Judge Zia Faruqui rejected prosecutors’ unsigned superseding complaint and plans to rule Monday on whether the original complaint establishes probable cause.
