Two Indian Nationals Indicted for Smuggling Counterfeit Ozempic to U.S. Distributors

Swapnadip Roy and Vicky Ramancha have been indicted on multiple charges including conspiracy and smuggling of counterfeit Ozempic.
The counterfeit drugs were allegedly sold to U.S. distributors at discounted prices, misleading consumers and undermining FDA regulations.
The scheme reportedly began in July 2023 and continued until April 2024, with Roy recently extradited from Italy and Ramancha still at large.
