James Copenhaver Dies Following Injuries from Trump Rally Shooting

James Copenhaver, 76, died at Allegheny Health Network’s West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh from complications related to injuries sustained during the assassination attempt on Donald Trump in July 2024.
He suffered multiple injuries, including wounds to his arm and abdomen, which required several surgeries and left him with lasting damage.
Copenhaver and his wife had filed a lawsuit against the Secret Service, alleging inadequate security at the rally, where two other attendees were also shot.
