Zion Mitchell Charged with Assault After Pulling Gun on Fellow Soldier Over Hair Regulations

Zion Mitchell, 21, was arrested on September 1 and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and possession of a firearm during a violent crime.
The incident occurred on August 25 during an argument over Army hairstyle regulations in a van outside a Popeye's restaurant.
Witnesses reported that Mitchell drew his weapon and pointed it at a fellow soldier, who believed the gun was loaded.
Mitchell is currently held in DC Jail with a court appearance scheduled for September 15.
