Guyana Accepts First Group of U.S. Deportees Under New Agreement

Guyana received six deportees from the U.S., primarily from Cuba and Afghanistan, vetted to have no criminal backgrounds.
The U.N. International Organization for Migration will manage the deportees' immigration status while they await decisions.
Guyana's Foreign Secretary confirmed that the U.S. has made no further requests for deportees after this initial group.
