Norway Seizes Russian Vessel Professor Molchanov to Enforce $4.22 Billion Award

Norwegian authorities seized the Russian vessel Professor Molchanov in Svalbard to enforce a $4.22 billion arbitration award to Naftogaz.
An arbitration tribunal in The Hague ordered Russia to pay this amount for unlawfully seizing Ukrainian assets in Crimea.
The seizure follows a court order from the Nord-Troms District Court issued on August 31, and the vessel is prohibited from leaving its location in Barentsburg.
