Thomas Ross Charged with Conspiracy to Frame Opponent with Drugs Ahead of Primary Election

Thomas Ross, 37, is charged with conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance for allegedly instructing his campaign manager to plant drugs on opponent Louise Secker before the August 4 primary.
The FBI's investigation revealed Ross supplied drugs and directed a campaign staffer to place them in Secker's belongings, with testing confirming the substances were cocaine and Adderall.
Ross won the primary by a narrow margin against Secker, and Missouri Republican Party chairman Peter Kinder has called for Ross to withdraw from the race.
