House Sexual Harassment Settlements Total Over $300,000 Involving Six Former Lawmakers
- Taxpayers have funded over $300,000 in sexual harassment settlements involving six former House members, according to documents reviewed by Rep. Nancy Mace.
- The Office of Congressional Workplace Rights revealed that 349 awards or settlements were approved from 1996 to 2018, with seven related to sexual harassment.
- Recent policy changes prevent lawmakers from using taxpayer money for settlements, and the House Ethics Committee has not reported any new settlements since these changes.
