Congress to Investigate DOJ's Handling of Epstein Files

The Government Accountability Office has begun a review of the DOJ's redaction processes for Jeffrey Epstein's files, following requests from a bipartisan group of senators.
Concerns have been raised that the DOJ improperly redacted names of powerful individuals while exposing victims' identities.
The DOJ's inspector general is also investigating compliance with the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which mandates the release of documents by December 2025.
