Sen. Josh Hawley Proposes Bill to Deny Pensions for Convicted Lawmakers

Senator Josh Hawley, R-Mo., has introduced the 'No Pensions for Congressional Predators Act' to stop convicted lawmakers from receiving pensions.
Currently, lawmakers convicted of felonies like fraud or bribery lose their pensions, but not those convicted of sexual abuse.
The proposal comes after allegations against former Rep. Eric Swalwell and former Rep. Tony Gonzales, both of whom could still collect pensions despite serious accusations.
