Service Members Seek Early Exit Amid Iran War Discontent

Calls to the GI Rights Hotline have nearly doubled since the Iran war began, with many service members expressing moral objections to military actions, particularly after civilian casualties.
In March alone, the hotline took on over 80 new clients, indicating a significant rise in service members seeking ways to exit their contracts or apply for conscientious objector status.
The Pentagon insists there are no retention issues, but military counselors report increasing numbers of service members opting for early retirement or not reenlisting due to low morale and ethical concerns.
